We are trying to catch up everywhere and we are always in a hurry for this. We eat too fast, walk too fast, drive too fast. There is even an industry called the fast food industry. In short, everything we do is in a hurry and we don't even understand what's going on.

In this folk song you will listen to, "Don't be in a hurry on this road, there is a thousand losses in haste." there's a line. By the way, he means the way of humanity. Well, because we are in a hurry, we often fall into mistakes and live life without understanding it properly. We become unable to taste many things, but it takes a long time to even realize it. When we can turn to nature or to ourselves, then we realize that truth or truth is not in hasty life. If you pay attention in nature, the longest and healthiest living creatures are the slowest ones.

There are many more advices and meanings in Turkish, but I wanted to draw your attention to this point in particular. Because that was one of the best words I remember lately. The owner of these lines and music is Aşık Mahzuni Şerif, one of the Turkish folk music poets. He is a poet who grew up in traditional culture and is one of the people who have succeeded in reaching the essence of life. For this reason, the advice he gives will be a complete guide in our lives. Maybe it has the image of calling out to only one person, but if we think of all of us as special individuals, you can realize that it is addressing all of us individually.

Hayatımızda korkunç bir yoğunluk, akılalmaz bir kargaşa var. Şehirler adeta zamanla yarışan insan tanecikleriyle dolu. Her yere yetişmeye çalışıyoruz ve bunun için de sürekli acele ediyoruz. Çok hızlı yemek yiyoruz, çok hızlı yürüyor, çok hızlı araç kullanıyoruz. Hatta hızlı yemek sektörü diye bir sektör bile var. Kısacası her işimiz acele ile oluyor ve ne olduğunu bile anlamıyoruz.

Dinleyeceğiniz bu türküde "Bu yolda acele etme, acelede bin zarar var." diye bir dize geçiyor. Yoldan kastı insanlık yolu bu arada. Öyle ya, acele ettiğimiz için sık sık yanılgılara uğruyor ve hayatı doğru düzgün anlam veremeden yaşıyoruz. Birçok şeyden tat alamaz hale geliyoruz fakat bunu farketmemiz bile uzun zamanlar alıyor. Ne zaman ki doğaya veya kendi içimize dönebiliyoruz, o vakit doğrunun veya gerçeğin acele yaşamda olmadığını anlıyoruz. Türkü içerisinde daha birçok öğüt ve anlam var fakat özellikle bu noktaya dikkatinizi çekmek istedim. Zira, son zamanlarda hatırladığım en iyi sözlerden birisi buydu. Bu dizelerin ve müziğin sahibi ise Türk halk müziği ozanlarından Aşık Mahzuni Şerif. Kendisi geleneksel kültürle yetişmiş bir ozan ve hayatın özüne ulaşmayı başarmış insanlardan birisi. Bu sebeple verdiği öğütler de hayatımızda tam bir kılavuz olacak nitelikte. Aşağıya İngilizce çevirisini de ekleyeceğim türkü sözleri içerisinde yalnızca birisine değil tüm insanlığa seslendiğini işaret ediyor. Belki yalnızca bir insana sesleniyormuş gibi bir imajı var fakat hepimizi özel birer bireyler olarak düşünürsek, ayrı ayrı hepimize seslendiğini fark edebilirsiniz.
