The issue of child abuse, like animal abuse, is a very complicated and large one. This recent story from Italy of an alleged high ranking child abuse ring operating within the child welfare services - including psychologists - is just the latest in a mountain of evidence that shows that we cannot rely on artificial hierarchies such as governments to solve our challenges. We can only find peace and balance when each individual is empowered to know right from wrong and has enough love and compassion to work together with others to make life better. This can never be achieved down the barrel of a gun - as governments do every day under the guise of being 'responsible'.
