Why is there death if there is God? (Part 2 of 3)

The important thing death is teaching us is that there will be judgement after death according to Acts 17:32. The death of our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us that we shall also die. At the same time, his resurrection also teaches us that we shall also resurrect.

In addition, Eccl. 8:8 tells us that no man has power to retain the spirit, and no man has power on the day of death. And so, we are helpless when death comes.

Death is actually telling us that someone owns us. We are alive because God wants us to live. Acts 17:28 says it is in God we live and have our being. Our life is in the hand of God. As we live, God gives us chance to serve, obey and follow him.

And Prov. 10:27 says the fear of the Lord prolongs days. God has the power to prolong our days if we fear him.
