Why is there death if there is God? (Part 3 of 3)

Death is not a bad thing for those that serve God. We will not fear death if we know the the word of God. Isaiah 57:1 says that death is a means of taking the righteous away from a forthcoming evil. This means it's even a means of salvation.

Righteous men die, including John the Baptist, Job, Abraham and even Jesus.

One thing death teaches us is to know we're under God's mercy. It is God that gives us life. Death proves the existence of God. It shows how powerful God is, and how lowly we are.

According to Deut. 32:39 God gives life and takes life. Death is inevitable, and none can deliver us from the power of God.

Death teaches us to be prepared because we do not know when we will die. It teaches us to be holy, to have self-control and to love one another. Since we know we will die, we have to do what is necessary.
