This are some of the points I picked from this Brother Eli's programme:

1Pet. 2:12 states that the good works we do will make men to glorify God in the day of visitation. Brother Eli disclosed that many people hated and spoke evil against him but, at present, many of them are members of the Church of God. They've now understood the doctrines and changed because of the good lives being lived by the brethren.

He even narrated a story of a man who wanted to leave his wife if she joined the church. But, when he saw the good life of his wife, he turned around and said, "Brother Eli, forgive me." The man confessed that he almost killed his wife because of the hatred in him. When he saw the big change in his wife, he was forced to beg for forgiveness.

You see, the good works of the wife was instrumental to the opening of the man's heart to the doctrines of Christ. This is why 1Pet. 3:1 advises wives to be in subjection to their husbands so that they will be a means of converting their husbands to Christ. It's the same thing that Apostle Peter said that, even though they are speaking evil against you, they may by your good works glorify God in the day of visitation.

God commanded us to be the light of the world so that men would learn that there's a true God. This is because the true God will manifest in the lives of those that receive him.

God is light, love and goodness which can be reflected in us. Our good works will serve as light to men. Mt. 5:14-15 says, "Ye are the light of the world...." It asks us to let our light shine so men will glorify God.

Sadly, many people have lost interest in God because of many religions. Someone in Pampanga said, "You are all the same." This is because he saw many men of God as those seeking after money, and people who go to church yet, commit bad things. Our obligation is to make people see the light through our good works.

The Church is commanded to remove the fornicators, covetous, extortioners, idolators and drunkards in 1Cor. 5:11.
