God is still in the earth even after Jesus ascended to heaven. The power of Jesus Christ extended to all the earth when he ascended. Jn. 12:30-32 is where Jesus said he will draw all men unto himself when he is lifted up.

We should note that when he was physically on earth, he was only in the holy land preaching and teaching. His being lifted up is likened to when Moses lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness, and those who looked at it were healed.

Jesus illustrated this in Jn. 3:14-15, saying the Son of man will be lifted up, and that whosoever that believes in him would not perish but, have eternal life.

This means he will draw all men unto himself when he is lifted up in heaven.

We see that in Mt. 28:18, he said all power, both in heaven and earth is given to him. This was after his resurrection. God gave him power in heaven and earth.

So, the true God is still in this world, even after Jesus went to heaven. Apostle John referred to this "true God" in 1Jn. 5:20 when Jesus had already ascended into heaven.
