Why did an all-powerful God murder the Haitian people during the earthquake (part 1 of 3)
This is what I understand from this Brother Eli's video:

God cannot be described as a murderer. The dictionary describes murder as a crime of killing another person deliberately. This means that a murderer is a criminal. The Bible in John 8:44 describes the devil (Satan) as a murderer. Murderer in Greek connotes a manslayer.
To use that word for God is wrong because God does not murder. He is the owner of life. He has the right to give life, or take it back. John 10:17-18 lets us to know that our Lord Jesus Christ has the power to lay down his life, and to take it again.
Life can be taken by natural events like lightening, sunami or earthquake. This is not murder but an act of taking life back. God owns our life. Hebrew 9:27 states that God appoints man to die once. And Ecclesiastes 8:8 states that no man has power to retain the spirit or has power in the day of death. Also, Job 12:10 says that the breath of all mankind is in the hand of God.
