It does not make sense to believe the gospel of Judas who commited the abominable sin of suicide after betraying Jesus. But it is reasonable to accept the gospels of respected and honest disciples like Peter, a fisherman, Luke, a tax collector, Paul, a lawyer, and the rest.
There are even some scriptures that were lost and not included in the Bible. For instance, in 1Cor. 5:9, Apostle Paul indicated that he wrote to Christians not to associate with fornicators. This means he was referring to another epistle.
Also, in Ephesians 3:3, he referred to a revelation he previously wrote. Furthermore, Joshua referred to the Book of Jasher in Joshua 10:13 which is not found.
So, the claim that only favourable books to Christian faith were used to write the Bible is false. There were those that wrote something contrary and even maligning the name of Jesus as found in Gal. 1:6 and 2Cor. 11:4 which refer to "another gospel".
