I want to do God's will, how can I stop doing bad things? (Part 1 of 4)

We do not on our own have the power to stop doing bad things. Apostle Paul in Rom. 7:19 said he was not able to do the good things he wanted to do, and that it was the evil he did not want to do that he found himself doing.
We all are like Apostle Paul. In verse 20 of the same Rom. 7, he said it was the sin in him that was doing those bad things.
The important thing is to be forgiven of our sin. Next, we have to be baptized.
At the time of Apostle Paul's conversion, Ananias in Acts 22:16 asked him to get baptized, and have his sins washed away as he calls upon the name of the Lord.
And Titus 3:5 states that we are not saved by our works of righteousness but, according to God's mercy through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
