The song refers to the life of a man when his father is not there, the memories of his teachings, his advice, the stories he told at "that table" as the song is called. This song made me cry because my dad is far away and I have not been able to see him for 2 years and the last time I saw him was for a few days, after being absent for 3 years. I miss my dad very much and that's why I sang this song with my soul.
