Tommy Robinson's passport taken by government and held

The UK state takes advantage of Tommy Robinson trying to renew his passport before a family holiday and confiscates it.

The UK state can now arbitrarily decide to confiscate the travel document of a British Subject without notice, or recourse. They do not have to go to a court, or get a court order or inform the British Subject, they can just take his passport and deny him the right to travel freely.

Pretty much as the Soviet Union or the old German Democratic Republic (East Germany - where Merkel comes from) used to do. We used to call this fascism or totalitarian communism.
