Running to and From the Beyond

Greetings Earthlings,
I was invited to the Sketchbook community by Sketchbook.bot a few days ago and I just wanted to drop by and say hello! Because I am quite attached to my community at Alien Art Hive, I thought today would be a good opportunity for me to try out the "Community Cross Posting" feature on PeakD. I am still quite new to digital design, so I don't really have a specific niche yet. When I first started, I was in love with photo-manipulation, but now I am beginning to explore the world of 3d animation.

Both the stars (using fractals) and the grid were made specifically in AE. By animating the anchor (I think it was the anchor lol), you can make the platform go on forever. The city was created in Google Sketchup and then imported into AE. The human model is imported into AE from Blender. As for the spacey synth vibe, I mixed that myself with some loops.

I already posted this on makersplace (will be available soon), but do you think the music is a little bit too much? Honestly, the buildings took me forever to create. They're based on NYC.
