Turtle Rock dungeon makes this last rescue interesting

This is game #12 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.

In part 13 of the game Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past I reach the Turtle Rock dungeon which holds the seventh and final maiden and crystal needed to open Ganon's Tower.

This one requires a lot more use of the previously obtained Cane of Somaria to make platforms that allow me to progress further when reaching chasms that block the path. I focus on attempting to just try complete it all myself now and only check the walkthrough if really stuck when trying to work out the way.
Among trying differents spots to see where it leads I find some interesting new things like the spiked rollers needing me to maneuver around, or the laser eye on the wall blocking the door and needing me to face my back to it so it won't shoot and so the door will stay open for me while I back on out of there!

One room has these balls on chains like the Super Mario 64 Chain Chomps, just like them... And they are easy to avoid if you time it and don't walk into their attacks.
After a bunch of different rooms and enemies to pass, including the room with pipes in it, I reach the dark room with my minimal vision besides the light and the fireball things, which is quite a difficult time as you have to point in the direction you want the platform to go while avoiding the fireballs spinning about so I load my save points quite a few times after getting annoyed at it.

Finally after passing some laser eye rooms and one with a bunch of colour switches and shit moving about that cannot be destroyed and it gets in the way, it was time for the boss!
During a fight I realised I needed to find the ice rod to help kill the fire head of this boss so I went and got that then came back to fight it. So I started on the ice head by stunning it with a fire rod hit and attacking it, doing it a few times so this one would be destroyed, then moved to the fire head and did the same but with the ice rod and realised it was easy this boss was. All that was left was the main body which surprisingly was so simple, just dodge it while slashing the middle part of its body a few times and it was the end of this boss and the final crystal was mine.

Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.

    Emulator used: RetroArch
    ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.
