This is game #12 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.
In part 1 of the game Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past I do like all new games and start learning how to play with the controls, picking things up, any attacks and much more.
This leads into me picking up a heap of bushes all around the place, looking for any goodies that may be hiding in it.
Eventually I find my way into the castle where I finally get the sword so I can start being a force to be reckoned with, practicing on guards and slicing up bushes since it is way easier than having to pick them up one by one!
Inside the castle is a variety of ways to go but ultimately will lead to getting the key I need to progress and there are many guards all around. I have to keep taking them out as I push through, looking around, gaining rupees as money to be used later, eventually finding the princess which needs me to help her escape so she isn't kept in the Wizards clutches.
When I get the princess back and I am told I need to save Hyrule, I proceed to start exploring the world. This includes finding things like heart pieces since 4 pieces gets you another heart added to your health bar, but I also end up dying once which I am surprised didn't happen sooner!
The game so far is amazing to play, a lot of fun and challenging, has puzzles in it, exploration, variety and is a well worth Zelda game to play.
Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.
Emulator used: RetroArch
ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.
