This is game #10 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.
In part 2 of the game Joe & Mac I start off with an ice cave level which is quite well done in design like a lot of this games levels. There is the challenge of avoiding falling down the holes like platformers always have, plus spikes and multiple enemies throughout.
Then I move onto the mammoth boss that throws small boulder like rocks and makes them fall down on me, this causes some issues and makes me lose a heap of health, needing me to be careful to not die to those stupid rocks!
After an easy cliff level requiring scaling to the top, it only leads to a stupidly annoying boss pterodactyl, annoyingly swooping from the sides and causing me a hecking trouble god dammit! But like all games, I work out the best times to attack and be quick so I reduce its health as quick as possible.
It gets even better with level design as we move into the volcano stages with spurting lava to avoid, getting to use the wheel again which is one of the best weapons and most fun, then the bosses range from the usual brontosaurus sort of one to an ankylosaurus boss.
Last but not least is one of my favourite levels and bosses, a dinosaur bone graveyard level which is awesomely designed, just look at it when you see it! Even the boss is a dinosaur skeleton, not too hard to beat but it did get me once, so it made for a challenge which is what we like to see!
Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.
Emulator used: RetroArch
ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.
