Hive Open Mic Week 131 - Indonesia Pusaka (Acoustic Cover) by Teofilus Sinaga

Hi all my friends, my name is Teofilus Sinaga. I come from Indonesia, precisely to the city of Medan. I am back to entertain you again on the weekly Hive #openmic event which has entered its 131st week with the theme "Orgullo Patrio" which means "National Pride". This theme was chosen by a female singer who has a melodious broadcast on Hive, namely @lasembradora. This community is very interesting to me because it provides challenges every week with interesting themes. I have to find a song with the right theme. This challenge is what got me interested in this Hive Open Mic.

Loving the homeland is often referred to as nationalism. A nationalist will be loyal to his nation and country. In my country, namely Indonesia, loving the country, nation and homeland is an obligation that must be applied in everyday life. Even I have to manifest a sense of love for my homeland, country, and nation. I am willing to sacrifice for the sake of defending my country and homeland.

Since I was a child, I was continuously taught by my parents and teachers at school to develop the spirit of nationalism. We are taught to maintain national unity and integrity. Because in Indonesia, various tribes and cultures are here. It is not impossible that this nation can be divided and pitted against outsiders. Therefore, it is my duty as the nation's generation to continue to maintain unity and preserve harmony.

So, in this post, I will bring you a cover of a song entitled "Indonesia Pusaka" which means "Indonesian Heritage". This song is a popular song among school students. Every student must memorize this song. For your information, this song was composed by a composer of the national anthem, Ismail Marzuki. When Indonesia was still colonized by other nations in the past, Ismail Marzuki fought back through song and art. From 1943 to 1944, he composed songs of struggle to rekindle the spirit of the struggle to seize Indonesian independence.
