Hive Open Mic Week 132 - Cantik From Kahitna (Cover) by Teofilus Sinaga

Hi all my friends, my name is Teofilus Sinaga. I come from Indonesia, precisely to the city of Medan. I'm back to entertain you again on the weekly Hive #openmic event which has entered its 132nd week with the theme "Women's Life Freedom". This theme was chosen by a guitarist who is very talented in playing rock music, he is @discouragedones. This community is very interesting to me because it provides challenges every week with interesting themes. I have to find a song with the right theme. This challenge is what got me interested in this Hive Open Mic.

In this week's theme, I will sing a cover of a song called “Cantik”, in English “Beautifull”. This song was written and popularized by an Indonesian pop music group, Kahitna. I like this band because the songs are filled with romantic love lyrics, and uphold the value and dignity of women. Even though this band was famous in the 90s, its songs are loved by all people in any era. Here I can judge that Kahitna is a special music group whose lyrics and music are not outdated.

One of Kahitna's songs that I brought today tells the story of someone who is in love with a woman. The word 'beautiful' is used as a nickname for women. When someone is in love, there will always be a sense of wanting to meet even though they can't chat with each other or just say hello. Whatever the girl did, she was seen as the most beautiful girl for a man in love.
