Hive Open Mic Week 134 - Sampai Akhir Hidupku (Cover) by Teofilus Sinaga

Hi everybody. Introducing myself, my name is Teofilus Sinaga and I come from Indonesia, precisely in the city of Medan. Today, the weekly #openmic has entered its 134th week with the theme Perdon, in English it means Forgiveness. This theme was chosen by @yetxuni, one of the female singers who has a beautiful voice like her face. This weekly Hive Open Mic music event is very interesting for me because it provides challenges from each theme of the week.

When we have wronged someone, we try to ask for forgiveness from that person so that our relationship with him can be restored. Forgiveness is not given because someone deserves to be forgiven. No one deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is an act of love, mercy, and grace from the person who has been hurt. Forgiveness is a decision not to hold a grudge against the person who wronged you. In the scriptures, everyone needs forgiveness from God, because all humans must have sinned. We must be grateful that God is merciful and loving so that God will forgive our sins if we repent and surrender to Him.

So on this week's theme, I performed a spiritual song entitled “Sampai Akhir Hidupku” in English Until the End of My Life by JPCC. This song was released in 2017 on the album Made Alive and was awarded the AMI Award for the best spiritual song lyrics that year. Many of my church youth friends sang this song when we were together. Below are the lyrics of the song.
