Manuel era un joven caballo que había sido alejado de su familia cuando era apenas un potro, tenía muy pocos recuerdos de sus padres, lo único que recordaba era lo que su padre le había dicho antes de que se lo llevaran los humanos.

Su padre le dijo: el mundo se puede caer pero un caballo nunca llora, esas palabras encarcelaron el corazón de Manuel y lo blindaron para que le fuera imposible sentir.Así pasaron los años y Manuel era un caballo frío y calculador, no sentía amor por nadie, no sentía dolor, porque en su mente siempre estaba la frase "los caballos nunca lloran".Llorar era un signo de debilidad y como no quería llorar nunca se atrevió a amar, sabía que, si entregaba su corazón, sus emociones dependerían de otros y no de él mismo.

Durante mucho tiempo Manuel supuestamente protegió su corazón y según él no amaba a nadie ni sufría por nadie, pero un día todo cambió en el establo donde se encontraba, el fuego se apoderó del lugar y su mejor amiga desapareció...La angustia llenó el corazón de Manuel y una horrible sensación le erizó la piel, sentía miedo, sentía dolor, desesperado Manuel salió corriendo hacia el bosque para evitar sentir esa sensación, intentó relinchar, gritar, pero su corazón se moría por expresar su dolor.

Una lágrima apareció en sus ojos, pero la contuvo con fuerza. Al final se rindió y se tiró al suelo, sintiendo que le habían arrancado algo del corazón, en eso un lobo, que observaba toda la escena, se acercó cautelosamente a él y dijo:

—Nunca he visto a un caballo llorar tan feo.

Manuel se levantó molesto y dijo:

—"Yo no lloro, nunca he llorado, me ofendes.

El lobo se rió de esa situación y se burló de él y le dijo:

—"Si no lloras entonces estás muerto”

A este insulto Manuel contestó enfadado:

— "No estoy muerto, si quieres te doy un mordisco para que veas que estoy vivo”.

El lobo se dio cuenta de que el ambiente estaba muy tenso así que decidió abrir su corazón diciendo:

— Todos los animales lloran, porque todos los animales tienen sentimientos, emociones… Lloramos porque amamos, lloramos de alegría y ¿porque lloras tu?

Manuel se sintió conmovido por el lobo y le contó lo sucedido en el establo, dándose cuenta de que quería a su mejor amiga.

El lobo finalmente lo aconsejó diciendo:

—No te niegues a amar para proteger tu corazón, no te niegues a llorar, porque es una muestra de tu amor, lo que debes aprender es que, si vuelves y ella está viva, no dejes pasar el tiempo para expresar y vivir tu amor, y si ella no vuelve nunca, recordarás que es mejor valorar y amar cuando se puede que negarse a ver lo que siente nuestro corazón.

Con esas palabras Manuel volvió muy triste al establo, pero ella, la yegua que era su amiga no volvió, con el paso de los días, reconstruyeron todo el establo quemado y de repente llegó un remolque con un caballo. Cuando lo bajaron se dio cuenta que era su gran amor.

No lo podía creer, saltó de felicidad, porque ella volvió, aunque tenía una pata quemada por el fuego, por fin llegó.

Desde entonces Manuel se permitió amar y entregar su corazón, aunque tuviera que llorar en el futuro. Negarse a amar es negarse a estar vivo, el amor a veces duele, pero es el mejor sentimiento del mundo.

For a long time Manuel supposedly protected his heart and according to him he did not love anyone or suffer for anyone, but one day everything changed in the stable where he was, the fire took over the place and his best friend disappeared...Anguish filled Manuel's heart and a horrible feeling bristled his skin, he felt fear, he felt pain, desperate Manuel ran into the forest to avoid feeling that sensation, he tried to neigh, scream, but his heart was dying to express his pain.

A tear appeared in her eyes, but she held it back tightly. At last he gave up and threw himself on the ground, feeling that something had been torn out of his heart, at that a wolf, who was watching the whole scene, approached him cautiously and said:

—I have never seen a horse cry so ugly.

Manuel stood up in annoyance and said:

—"I do not cry, I have never cried, you offend me.

The wolf laughed at this situation and mocked him and said:

—"If you don't cry then you are dead."

To this insult Manuel replied angrily:

—"I'm not dead, if you want I'll give you a bite so you can see that I'm alive."

The wolf realized that the atmosphere was very tense so he decided to open his heart saying:

—All animals cry, because all animals have feelings, emotions... We cry because we love, we cry for joy and why are you crying?

Manuel was moved by the wolf and told him what happened in the stable, realizing that he loved his best friend.

The wolf finally advised him saying:

—Do not refuse to love to protect your heart, do not refuse to cry, because it is a sign of your love, what you must learn is that, if you return and she is alive, do not let the time pass to express and live your love, and if she never returns, you will remember that it is better to value and love when you can than to refuse to see what our heart feels.

With those words Manuel returned very sad to the stable, but she, the mare who was his friend did not return, as the days went by, they rebuilt the whole burned stable and suddenly a trailer with a horse arrived. When they unloaded it, she realized that it was her great love.

He couldn't believe it, he jumped with happiness, because she came back, even though she had a leg burned by the fire, she finally arrived.

Since then Manuel allowed himself to love and to give his heart, even if he had to cry in the future. To refuse to love is to refuse to be alive, love sometimes hurts, but it's the best feeling in the world.
