TDC Tunes on Brixton Radio - Highlight from Show #67

I got super behind with posting highlights from my shows towards the end of last year with all the gigs I was doing and other December madness. Going back now and pulling out some good bits!

Here's a nice section from show 67, broadcast late November. It's quite a chilled section but suitably electrronic and bleepy too of course!

I could keep going like this for hours. Actually there are a few moments and transitions in this one that are a little bit rough around the edges and/or sudden. For example bringing in an element that's too loud. This is to some extent inevitable when I'm doing fully improvised sets on such a complex system. But it's also sometimes how I find some really great stuff. Of course I can also work on smoother transitions and techniques to ensure that and I do feel like I'm continually improving in that area.

Anyway I quite like the general vibe of this one and would quite like to release a track or track(s) that are this kind of feel. Easier said than done taking this to be good enough quality for a released track though. I was working on that in 2022 (see my track 135 senses which uses some elements from one of my shows as a starting point) but it's something I feel I still have a long way to go on and I will for sure continue with it in 2023. I am actually most of the time recording stems of my shows - that means individual audio files of every part played by the modular. So I do have a lot of material to work with. Almost too much. Like a couple hundred hours of audio and not sure where to start! We will see though - watch this space!

There's also my Twitch bot which allows viewers to interact with the channel in some unique ways including:

• Changing the camera angle
• Turning my lava lamp on and off
• Activating different lighting modes
• Activating difference special modes - and all the regulars have their own special mode now that reflects their unique character! If you come and chat regularly you'll likely get one of your own too!

New modes are added pretty much every week so keep checking as you never know what new special power you will have as a viewer in Twitch! And there's no need to subscribe or pay bits or any of that stuff either. It's available to all.
