Hive Open Mic 132, Woman Life Freedom - blink-182 EDGING (FULL Song Cover)

Hello everyone! Hive Open Mic 132 here we are! :) time is moving quickly, so it is great to have another entry in amongst all of your brilliant videos!:)

This week I am playing blink-182's new song, EDGING! They are back together! Tom Delonge is back in the band and they are set to have a world tour soon. It is crazy cool how a punk rock band can give the world such a nostalgic feeling. They've been going strong for over 20 years now, and I sure am looking forward to their new album and songs!:)

My own music is heavily inspired my blink-182. I definitely add my own style and guitar solos!

For this cover I played over a backing track but recorded all of the guitar parts and also all of the vocal parts! It was good fun, and did take a while to edit as I have quite a lot going on right now. So just the one video for the week, but I sure hope you all enjoy it :) I did put quite a bit of effort into the editing haha so I hope you are entertained at least :D

This weeks theme of Woman Life Freedom is a very powerful topic. This song doesn't directly link to the theme, apart from showing ability to stand up with our own power and for everyone else. I have many Iranian friends and they are going to weekly protests here in New Zealand, and it appears this is happening all over the world. I sure hope that some change can come from this, and that there is a better future ahead for all, especially the woman who are being mistreated and seen as lower class. It blows my mind to think that this type of treatment is still going on in parts of the world... it is very sad. Heartbreaking! Now, with us helping spread the message we can help the movement and contribute to the powerful message!
