Have been a long time without playing flute!

Did you know that the oldest quena on the American continent is 6,000 years old?The quena is a wind instrument very similar to the flute.

My name is Suanet, this time I'll play the famous song performed by Celine Dion for the movie Titanic.

Im graduated of the music school but as many musicians here in Cuba we depend of the school instruments and when we finish we don't have our own instrument to continue playing because are so expensive. In my case, i could't play any more.

When i was in High School an international chorus director gaves to me this Quena as a give and I'm started to play it after I finished the music school...

I was thinking in how to add more value to my videos on the Vibes Competition and i remembered my Quena, but when I moved last year to the capital I forgot to bring it with me, so i called to my mom for she to sent me it. Finally this last Wednesday i finally could have it in my hands and that exactly day at night i recorded this video.

I was so surprised because without playing for long time i didn't forgot my skills. As people say: What you learn well, you never forget it.

Of course i'll continue playing for the community in next videos.
