In the last few days we have had some news about the long awaited, desired, vaunted and, above all loved, Resident Evil 4 remake, game of 2005 that almost everyone here will know, apart from a couple of details with the rain, the game looks spectacular, but the focus of today is not RE4, it's only the cause of me being here today doing this post.

Today I would like to present you a Resident Evil 2 Remake series that I plan to keep active from start to finish, I haven't forgotten the Dark Souls one, but I've had problems with the game controls and I haven't really found a solution, so I'll keep it on hold for a while, so let's talk about RE2 Remake.

The 2019 game has set itself as the standard for what a good remake should aim for, despite a couple of little details I find, it's by far one of my favorite Resident Evil for many reasons, a very replayable one too, so I thought I would continue to complete it to the max, and also, bring a series for you guys of one of the best remakes to date.

For starters, this is my first gameplay recorded and rendered at 1080p, I hope it's a noticeable difference even though I'm not using the best bitrate, it's something I'll be experimenting with as I keep bringing you more parts of this and other games, I keep using OBS because I find it the most practical and it's my main option as long as it doesn't give me problems, like Dark Souls, which I can't record it with OBS.

In this gameplay I start the route A with Leon, which as I explain in the video is the inverse of the canon, because first you play with Claire and then with Leon, but here we pass the canon by the arc de triomphe and play as we want, in addition to that, I'll be playing with the 1998 costumes, allusive to the original Resident Evil 2.

At the beginning, Leon arrives at a gas station where upon entering he finds an employee bleeding to death, when he goes further inside to investigate he finds an officer struggling against a somewhat "strange" guy, which doesn't take long to overcome the officer in strength, stand over him and tear the tissue from his neck, obviously we are talking about a zombie, which I tried to escape without shooting, it went wrong because it bit Leon in the neck, how is he still alive and uninfected?, we'll never know.

On his way to the exit he comes face to face with Claire, who is also being chased by a zombie, and before they know it they are both completely surrounded by zombies, so they escape as best they can in a police cruiser.

In general terms the beginning is quite faithful to the game, for [various reasons] they must get off the patrol car, because behind comes a half-alive, half-dead truck driver, about to collide with them, the truck and the patrol car explode, and we reach the starting point of the original game, where each character is left on their own and must make their way until they reach the police station, where they will be more "safe".

En los últimos días hemos tenido algunas novedades respecto al esperadísimo, ansiado, deseado, vanagloriado y, sobre todo amado, remake de Resident Evil 4, juego del 2005 que casi todos acá conocerán de sobra, fuera de un par de detalles con la lluvia, el juego pinta espectacular, pero el foco de hoy no es RE4, solo es el causante de que yo esté aquí hoy haciendo este post.

Hoy me gustaría presentarles una serie de Resident Evil 2 Remake que planeo mantener activa de principio a fin, no he olvidado la de Dark Souls, pero he tenido problemas con los controles del juego y la verdad no he hallado solución, así que la mantendré aparcada un tiempo, así que hablemos de RE2 Remake.

El juego de 2019 se ha establecido como el estándar a lo que debería apuntar un buen remake, a pesar de un par de detallitos que le encuentro, es con diferencia uno de mis Resident Evil favoritos por muchas razones, uno muy rejugable también, así que pensé en seguirlo completando al máximo, y además, traer una serie para ustedes de uno de los mejores remakes hasta la fecha.

Para empezar, es mi primer gameplay grabado y renderizado a 1080p, espero que sea una diferencia que se note a pesar de no estar usando el mejor bitrate, es algo con lo que estaré experimentando conforme siga trayéndoles más partes de este y otros juegos, sigo utilizando OBS porque me parece lo más práctico y es mi opción principal siempre y cuando no me de problemas, como el Dark Souls, que no puedo grabarlo con OBS.

En este gameplay inicio la ruta A con Leon, lo cual como explico en el video es lo inverso al canon, pues primero juegas con Claire y luego con Leon, pero acá nos pasamos el canon por el forro del bolsillo y jugamos como nos da la gana, adicionalmente a eso, estaré jugando con los trajes de 1998, alusivos al Resident Evil 2 original.

Al empezar, Leon llega a una gasolinera en la que al entrar encuentra a un empleado desangrándose, al ir más adentro a investigar encuentra a un oficial forcejeando contra un tipo un tanto “extraño”, el cual no tarda en superar al oficial en fuerza, colocarse sobre él y arrancarle el tejido del cuello, obviamente hablamos de un zombie, del cual intenté escapar sin disparar, salió mal pues mordió a Leon en el cuello, ¿cómo sigue vivo y sin infectarse?, nunca lo sabremos.

En su camino hacia la salida se encuentra de cara con Claire, que también está siendo perseguida por un zombie, y antes de que se den cuenta ambos están completamente rodeados de muertos vivientes, por lo que escapan como pueden en una patrulla de la policía.

En términos generales el inicio es bastante fiel al juego, por [diversos motivos] deben bajarse de la patrulla, pues detrás viene un camionero medio vivo, medio muerto, a punto de colisionar con ellos, el camión y la patrulla explotan, y llegamos al punto inicial del juego original, donde cada personaje queda por su lado y deben abrirse camino hasta llegar a la comisaría, donde estarán más “seguros”.

Y esto sería a grandes rasgos el inicio del juego, el gameplay va más allá de esto así que, por favor, echen un vistazo si gustan, muchas gracias por pasarse, espero sea de su agrado.
