Hive Book Club : Video Recording of the Eighth Book Voice Chat Discord Session!

Hello Community, Stevenson here again to share with you guys the recorded version of yesterday's voice chat on discord. I skipped a number earlier, so today would be our eighth episode not ninth, lol. What a session it was.

Yesterday, 11th of December 2021 we had our eighth book chat. It was brilliant, we had our highest turnout and today I have come to share with you guys the recording of the lovely discussion we had yesterday.

Yesterday's topic was What character would you like to meet in a fiction book and why?

The Discussion started with a very interesting idea of separating authors from thier works and looking at the two as different entities. An interesting concept. There was much delibration and it helped opened the floor for the discussion.

• I mentioned a character Eugene Achike from the book Purple Hibiscus by Chimamand Adichie

• @notacinephile mentioned a group (Bridgeburners) from the interesting book Malazan book of the fallen Series by Steven Erikson.

• @rexsanguis made mention of the character Okonkwo from the book Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe.

• @chinyerevivian talked about a great character, Binta Zubairu in a great book Season of Crimson Blossoms by Abubakar Ibrahim

• A whole bunch of other fascinating characters were mentioned by @samostically, @osarueseosato, @khoola. Thank you guys for Joining and sharing. Also I'd like to appreciate @azircon for stopping by. Great to see you.

What a session it was. Arguably the best we've had for a number of reasons. Amazing turnout, great discussion, lovely and educative debate, etc. I can't thank you guys enough for making it a fun chat. I think I'd like to also point out that there was a football scoreline on the video, haha. Forgive me, I had to keep up. Also, if you'd like that I don't tag you, please do let me know.
