Independence Weekend by @Stefanovah

Greetings earthlings, this is Lord Stefanovah from the city of Zion... Lolz, too much American film 🥲. I greet you all specially, both my compatriots (Una face show, una shoe shine) and every other person in general ❤️.

This is my first time posting in this community, thanks to the weekend interactive sessions with @sam.hangout here I am picking up an interest in vibing with my folk here in the Hive Naija community on HIVE.

Last weekend was quite a memorable one cos we celebrated Nigeria's Independence anniversary..... October 1st happened to be on a Saturday this year and last Monday was declared a public holiday as a result. So we had an extended weekend which was pretty fun for me. Lemme share with y'all. I hope you like it.

It started Friday evening for me with a friend of mine and a few other musician colleagues having a Live Recording..... Getting to the venue and seeing the stage decorated all white (dress code for the occasion) and green, it just made me enjoy the evening's experience as part of the "Independence Weekend".

On Saturday which was Independence Day proper, I made my way to my old college environment, to my church there which has lots of youths and is quite lively.... They commemorated the day with an event called G-flix where we ate, watched a movie and played different games.
I tried Darts once but scored zero so I ran to console games where I won 4 out of 5 opponents in FIFA and was undefeated in Mortal Kombat (which was surprising because I don't really know how to play like others) till I got bored and handed over to a girl who also went on to beat all the guys she played against till she got bored.

Was back in church the next day for Sunday service where we listened to a sermon of peace by the Christian patriarch known more popularly as Daddy G.O, we went on to pray for Nigeria, especially for good leaders as our elections draw near.... I believe those prayers won't go unanswered, hoping for the best for Nigeria.

We went on to celebrate our country further..... with the altar decorated with green and white balloons we concluded with a very interesting Praise Party.
