One for #GubSunday that was kicked off by @sketch.and.jam.
Last night we watched Rocketman that covers the life of Elton John from his childhood up the 1980s. I just found out that a friend sang on the soundtrack! At the end they have the video for I'm Still Standing with Taron Egerton replacing the original Elton. That song has a nice fuzzy guitar solo that I had to try and learn.
This lesson was useful.
It is quite quick with a nice run of chords up the neck and a few bends. I used my Gordon Smith GS2 through the Zoom G3X that has a Fuzz Face effect. I feel I need a real fuzz pedal. There are just so many to choose from. I could get a Big Muff, but even with those there are lots of variations. Considering fuzz is basically a very overloaded signal it has lots of flavours.
The backing is from GuitarBackingTrack.com who have loads of stuff for free.
