Future of Podcasting - Value 4 Value, Podping, Live cross-platform notifications.

Value 4 Value is an idea of Podcasting 2.0 where you are skipping all the big corporations and "self-censorship" for ads where your audience can help you make content by directly supporting you. Tipping is not a novel concept but in the past you had to rely on centralized systems for that function. And we all know someone that had its funds frozen by Paypal or their account deleted from Youtube.

Bitcoin lightning network came as a great solution for that and people at Podcasting index started building a protocol that supports tipping and streaming sats per podcast minute played directly to the creator.

But the lightning network has one problem. To receive bitcoin you have to run a lightning node 24/7. And we know that not every podcaster will run a lightning node at home.

Here is where the work of @brianoflondon, Hive, and Speak Network comes in. By posting videos on Speak Network with Hive account there is no need to run a lightning network 24/7. Bitcoin that you receive is converted to Hive and goes straight to your wallet.

Another current problem with Podcasting is decentralized distribution. Podping is solving that by using Hive. No need to run multiple servers to check did any of the millions of podcasts make a new episode. Just monitor Podping and you will get it in 3-5 seconds.
