PodPing: Decentralized CrossApp Notifications - Community Token Talk

Would you like an option where you could notify your Youtube followers that you are live on Twitch? Is that even possible? Would Youtube implement something like that?

Probably not. But new apps based on decentralized infrastructure will and are doing that.

PodPing started as an idea of a decentralized pooling option for Podcasts. Every podcast hosting provider and podcasting app that decides to implement PodPing has an option to get your podcast RSS feed in a few seconds. With the current system that most "big" podcasting apps use it takes hours.

In the evolution of PodPing, Podcasting 2.0 apps started realizing new use cases and possibilities.

The latest is CrossApp going live notification. So you could use any of your favorite podcasting app and you would be notified that your favorite podcaster is going live.
