Desde que estoy en la blockchain de Hive siempre me han encantado los encuentros que se realizan todos los martes en ReadyPlayerHive, ¡de ahí nacen grandes iniciativas! Las más reciente: un torneo de dos videojuegos muy buenos, por un lado Smash Karts y por el otro el glorioso League Of Legends. Decidí unirme a sabiendas de que era la primera vez que participaba en un torneo de videojuegos y que mis probabilidades de ganar no eran tan grandes porque, de alguna manera u otra, termino siendo malísimo y mis nervios son los que se llevando la victoria. No obstante, la idea, tal como me decían en la escuela los profesores antes de una competición de matemáticas, era divertirse.

¡Y vaya que me divertí! LOL.

Since I've been on the Hive blockchain I've always loved the meetups that take place every Tuesday at ReadyPlayerHive, great initiatives are born from there! The most recent: a tournament of two very good video games, on the one hand Smash Karts and on the other the glorious League Of Legends. I decided to join knowing that it was my first time participating in a video game tournament and that my chances of winning weren't that great because, somehow or another, I end up being terrible and my nerves are the ones that take the victory. However, the idea, as the teachers told me at school before a math competition, was to have fun.

And boy did I have fun! LOL.

Dado a que todavía ahorro para una PC lo suficientemente buena como para jugar al menos League Of Legends, decidí competir en Smash Karts; este jueguito online ya lo conozco y es un poco más sencillo en su jugabilidad, aunque no por eso ganar es fácil. En resumen el videojuego es un poco de Mario Kart con Crash Team Racing, o sea, batallas PVP en un automóvil mientras sorteamos cajas asesinas y conducimos en pistas cerradas, lo que quiere decir que gana el que aplaste más carritos rivales. ¿Divertido no? Aunque a veces la riña se vuelve personal, LOL.

En el torneo de Smash Karts se iban a repartir un total de cinco premios, ¡había muchas oportunidades para ganar! Se realizaron cinco rondas, tres en modalidad “Free For All” (o masacre como le digo yo, XD) y dos en modalidad “Hat Holder” (a esta le digo sombrerito). En “Free For All” resultaba ganador aquel que acumulara más puntos aplastando los automóviles de los rivales en un total de diez minutos, mientras que en “Hat Holder” obtenía el triunfo aquel jugador que mantuviera el sombrero en su cabeza durante un total de sesenta segundos.

Since I'm still saving up for a PC good enough to play at least League Of Legends, I decided to race Smash Karts; I already know this little online game and its gameplay is a bit simpler, although winning is not easy for that. In short, the video game is a bit of Mario Kart with Crash Team Racing, that is, PVP battles in a car while we dodge killer boxes and drive on closed tracks, which means that the one who crushes the most rival cars wins. Fun isn't it? Although sometimes the fight gets personal, LOL.

In the Smash Karts tournament, a total of five prizes were going to be distributed, there were many opportunities to win! Five rounds were held, three in "Free For All" mode (or massacre as I call it, XD) and two in "Hat Holder" mode (I call this little hat). In "Free For All" the winner was the one who accumulated the most points by crushing the cars of the rivals in a total of ten minutes, while in "Hat Holder" the player who kept the hat on his head for a total of sixty minutes won. seconds.

Y entonces ahí estaba yo, persiguiendo mis ganas de ganar mientras pulverizaban mi pobre carrito una y otra vez... una y otra vez. En la primera ronda comencé de forma excelente pero después me dormí y tal como dice ese refrán: “Camarón que se duerme se lo lleva la corriente” LOL. Me terminaron acribillando (en el Smash Kart, XD) y de un primer lugar terminé descendiendo hasta el quinto lugar. ¡Vaya racha! Y aunque perdí en la primera modalidad (Free For All) todavía no perdía las esperanzas. Las posibilidades de convertirme en un ganador estaban muy cerca… ¿o no?

La segunda ronda sin duda fue la más divertida porque o sea, la pista que se seleccionó era muy pequeña y había muchos jugadores, tantos que el modo de juego “Hat Holder” se convirtió en la segunda guerra mundial, LOL. Nadie podía mantener el bendito sombrero por más de cuatro segundos porque inmediatamente lo pulverizaban. ¡Quien lleva el sombrerito se convierte en blanco seguro y los rivales le caen como hormigas al azúcar! Adrenalina y diversión en un solo lugar… ¡sin duda alguna! Jajaja.

And then there I was, chasing my will to win as my poor cart was pulverized over and over... over and over again. In the first round I started in excellent shape but then I fell asleep and as that saying goes: "Shrimp that falls asleep is carried away by the current" LOL. They ended up riddling me (in the Smash Kart, XD) and from first place I ended up descending to fifth place. What a streak! And although I lost in the first modality (Free For All) I still did not lose hope. The chances of becoming a winner were very close…or weren't they?

The second round was definitely the most fun because I mean, the court that was selected was very small and there were a lot of players, so many that the game mode “Hat Holder” became the second world war, LOL. No one could hold the blessed hat for more than four seconds because they immediately pulverized it. Whoever wears the hat becomes a safe target and the rivals fall like ants to sugar! Adrenaline and fun in one place... without a doubt! Ha ha ha.

Al final de cuentas… ¿terminé ganando? Es una buena pregunta y la respuesta es: ¡vean el video adjunto! LOL. Pero claro, las tres rondas siguientes estuvieron igual de divertidas y desafiantes. Aquellos que iban ganando se coinvertían luego en saboteadores, eso para darle más dinamismo a las partidas y por supuesto, más oportunidades para otros jugadores que todavía no ganaban un premio.

Smash Kart es un juego de combates muy bueno para desafiar amigos e incluso hacer torneos; a mí me encanta porque es sencillo y tiene modos desafiantes. Me gustó mucho este torneo organizado por el equipo de PlayerHive y además me divertí y reí como nunca. Iniciativas como esta afianzan el lema de Hive en cuanto a unión y talento, ¡talento Gamer! Y es bonito ser parte de actividades que forjen lazos entre Hivers.

Espero que se diviertan viendo este material que preparé sobre mi experiencia en el torneo de Smash Karts. ¡Verán muchas explosiones y carritos en llamas! LOL. ¡No se lo pierdan!

Smash Kart is a very good fighting game to challenge friends and even hold tournaments; I love it because it is simple and has challenging modes. I really liked this tournament organized by the PlayerHive team and I also had fun and laughed like never before. Initiatives like this one reinforce Hive's motto in terms of union and talent, Gamer talent! And it's nice to be part of activities that forge ties between Hivers.
