HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK #145/ UYO MEYO BY TENI/ AS COVERED BY SLEEMFIT✨. [ENG-ESP]

Hello Hive Open Mic Community, it's week #145 of our weekly concert and I'm really really excited about this one 😃,I was chosen as the spotlight artiste for this week which means I get to choose the theme for the week, How cool that is 😎. I'm really grateful to the organizers and pioneers of the Open Mic Community @cabelindsay, @mipiano, @jesuslnrs e.t.c.for finding me worthy of being artiste of the week and for this platform which allows us to express ourselves musically and is totally pressure free. Blessings to you all 🙏.

As we all know the theme I have chosen for this week is "Glory". Glory simply means great beauty and splendor, It also means honour and admiration. In line with this week's theme I have chosen to perform a song by Nigerian singer-songwriter and entertainer Teni called "Uyo Meyo".

Uyo Meyo is a traditional Ondo dialect in Nigeria that talks about rejoicing and happiness. It literally means the joy I have expressed for others shall be my portion too, the way I celebrate with other people...I also shall be celebrated. It's more like a prayer of hope,having faith and believing your time would also come. "I will keep clapping for others happily until it's my turn". Your time to shine would come, your glorious day would come, keep pushing, keep working hard and keep clapping for others for your time would surely come.

I have chosen this song because I know how it feels to second guess yourself, seeing people around you do so well, even those that don't know as much as you do or aren't as learned as you are being so prosperous and living a great life that you really pray and wish for. Trust me I'm at that point in my life but I won't let that weigh me down because I know my time would surely come soonest, meanwhile I keep celebrating with people who are doing well happily without any envy or hate in my heart while working hard and trying my best...I know I also would celebrated as well. The song is more like a prayer for me and it encourages me always to keep going. It's one of my all time favourite songs as well with great vocals and instrumentation. Although the song is about 4 years old now but then it's always refreshing to listen to. The song is really powerful and conveys deep meaning.

I do hope you all enjoy 🎧 my expression of this beautiful piece, and my message to everyone who comes across this post is to keep rejoicing with others happily, your day of rejoicing is closer than you think..Keep pushing, keep moving. Love and light 🤍.

Como todos sabemos, el tema que he elegido para esta semana es "Gloria". Gloria simplemente significa gran belleza y esplendor, también significa honor y admiración. De acuerdo con el tema de esta semana, he elegido interpretar una canción del cantautor y animador nigeriano Teni llamada "Uyo Meyo".

Uyo Meyo es un dialecto ondo tradicional en Nigeria que habla de regocijo y felicidad. Literalmente significa que la alegría que he expresado por otros también será mi porción, la forma en que celebro con otras personas... yo también seré celebrado. Es más como una oración de esperanza, teniendo fe y creyendo que también llegaría tu hora. "Seguiré aplaudiendo felizmente a los demás hasta que sea mi turno". Llegaría tu hora de brillar, llegaría tu día glorioso, sigue empujando, sigue trabajando duro y sigue aplaudiendo a los demás porque tu hora seguramente llegará.

Elegí esta canción porque sé cómo se siente cuestionarte a ti mismo, ver a las personas a tu alrededor hacerlo tan bien, incluso aquellos que no saben tanto como tú o no son tan instruidos como tú, siendo tan prósperos y viviendo. una gran vida por la que realmente rezas y deseas. Confía en mí, estoy en ese momento de mi vida, pero no dejaré que eso me abrume porque sé que mi momento seguramente llegará lo más pronto posible, mientras tanto, sigo celebrando con personas que lo están haciendo bien felizmente sin ninguna envidia u odio en mi corazón. mientras trabajaba duro y daba lo mejor de mí... sé que yo también lo celebraría. La canción es más como una oración para mí y siempre me anima a seguir adelante. También es una de mis canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos, con excelentes voces e instrumentación. Aunque la canción tiene unos 4 años ahora, siempre es refrescante escucharla. La canción es realmente poderosa y transmite un significado profundo.

Espero que todos disfruten 🎧 mi expresión de esta hermosa pieza, y mi mensaje para todos los que se encuentren con esta publicación es que sigan regocijándose con los demás felizmente, su día de regocijo está más cerca de lo que piensan... sigan empujando, sigan adelante. Amor y luz 🤍.
