This song is older than I am, lol I wasn't even born when this classic was recorded. The song was released in the year 1989 and it has received numerous accolades including a Grammy award. The song mainly talks about the problems of homelessness and a clarion call to help those in need of our help no matter the status of the person. Help people if you can and when you can. Remember humanity first, we are all equal in the sight of God... rich or poor, we are humans first before status or social class.
The chorus pleads that we think twice, we might be living our best lives, enjoying ourselves, living in paradise but what about the homeless people with no where to go. What about them? Do not ignore the predicament, suffering of the homeless and poor. They all deserve to be happy just like us, they all deserve a day in paradise. Please let's all be kind to as many people as we can, be a ray of light, a ray of hope, put a smile on someone's face today. How lovely would it be if we all lived happily together in paradise? 😎 I do hope you all enjoy 🎧 my cover of this classic record.
LYRICS
She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"
He walks on, doesn't look back
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there
Oh think twice
'Cause it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice
'Cause it's another day for you, you and me in paradise
Think about it
She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she's been crying
She's got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can't walk but she's trying
Oh think twice
'Cause it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice
It's just another day for you, you and me in paradise
Just think about it
Oh, Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do?
Oh, my Lord, there must be something you can say
You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she's been there
Probably been moved on from every place
'Cause she didn't fit in there
Oh think twice
'Cause it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice
It's just another day for you, you and me in paradise
Just think about it
Just think about it
It's just another day for you and me in paradise
It's just another day for you and me in paradise
It's just another day for you and me in paradise
Just think about it

LETRA
Ella llama al hombre en la calle
"Señor, ¿puede ayudarme?
Hace frio y no tengo donde dormir
¿Hay algún lugar donde me puedas decir?"
Él sigue caminando, no mira hacia atrás.
