    About :

Here is an improvisation for #teletuesday by @steevc where I combine it with a long neck Turkish baglama saz. This improvisation basically started out with the saz where I listened to a generic metronome to get the timing right. Later I added darbuka, frame drums, riq and marimba with my Roland Handsonic. With the rhythm in place I brought in a couple tracks on my G&L ASAT. The first ASAT track has effects via guitar rig 6 and the second track is with bias fx 2. I was testing out a weird fingernail sliding technique on the guitar similar to how Sarod players play their instruments by fretting with their nails and sliding on the string rather than the fret. It will take more practice to get good at it, especially on a guitar.

The overall mood of this improvisation is mysterious and a bit creepy. It kind of reminds me of Greek mythology where a siren at sea calls ships to their demise on a rocky shoreline.

    Thanks for listening :-)
