Community gatherings are so fun! Whether it is a last-minute get together block party or long-planned festival for the entire town, it is always beneficial to socialize with others.

Our town hosts festivals year-round. I previously showed you the California Honey Festival in one of my #marketfridays article. There is also the BrewFest, Tomato Festival, Almond Festival, St Patrick's Day Festival, Scottish Games Festival, One Heart One Love Reggae Festival, Aloha Festival, Greek Festival, and a couple more.

I hope you were able to view the one-minute video above. In all the festivals I attended in town, there's always music playing, oftentimes, a live band provides the music. During the 2019 Crawfish & Catfish Festival, we enjoyed live Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Jazz, R & B, and Funk on three stages!

The Crawfish and Catfish Festival features the authentic tastes of Louisiana, Cajun, Creole, Southern BBQ, Soul Foods, Latin Foods, and Asian/Cajun Fusion cuisine. Specialties offered included crawfish, catfish, alligator, frog legs, shrimp, oysters, gumbo, jambalaya, sausages, hot dogs, wings, garlic noodles, beignets, and pralines.

Festival activities included cooking demos, Zydeco dance lessons, race crawfish, Catch and Release Catfish pool, a kid’s zone, and of course the vendor marketplace. As in many festivals, there were over a hundred booths.
