This is a battle I forgot to post for last week's weekly challenge for Radiated Brute.
The rules for this match are Silenced Summoners which means summoners have no abilities, 24 Mana Cap, and no Earth or Life or Water Splinters.
Since I didn't have to worry about armor-boosted teams from Water Splinter, magic-boosted teams from Earth, or range-boosted teams from Life, I went with the Fire Splinter due to its heavy melee damage--but also because I needed a battle with Radiated Brute lol.
I picked Tarsa so I get the stat boost from her level 4 status.
My front line monster was Living Lava. He's a bit slow but he does 3 melee damage, has the Shield ablility which reduces incoming melee and range damage, 2 armor, and some decent health.
In 2nd position I had Radiated Brute because of its Reach ability which lets it attack from 2nd position despite being a melee monster, but also because I'd leveled mine up to 4 which gives it 3 melee, 2 speed, and 6 health.
In 3rd position, I went with Serpentine Spy whose value comes from its decent melee damage of 2 but also from its Opportunity ability which makes it target the enemy monster with lowest health so it focuses on shrinking the enemy team as fast as possible.
In 4th, I had a new fire favorite for me from the Chaos Legion edition--Tenyii Striker. After leveling hiim up to 4, he does 3 melee damage, has 3 speed, 6 health, and in addition to his starting ability of Sneak which targets the last enemy monster it now has Dodge as well making it more difficult to hit.
In 5th and final, I put Scorch Fiend as a buffer to protect Tenyii Striker.
In the end, my strategy worked and my weekly-challenge monster Radiated Brute ended up taking down both the enemy's own Radiated Brute and their final monster, Tenyii Striker too.
I don't think I'd change anything about my line-up since it worked. Scorch fiend was super helpful since it protected my Tenyii Striker for a bit and my Radiated Brute didn't even receive a scratch.
I use Radiated Brute a lot since he's a strong, decently-lifed monster and he's cheaper than the faster Fineas Rage. I like that it's melee is pretty high and Reach monsters are useful for applying pressure to your opponent's team.
Hope y'all enjoyed this post!
