Once again, our artists manage to give an awesome depiction of this week's theme moonshine by @anna-newkey. I find both the theme and its depiction really intriguing. In this work of art, I see a combination of loneliness and hope. Moonshine has always been related to love but there's also a sense of loneliness related to it as well. @babymoyin gave a beautiful cover of "Talking to the moon" by Bruno Mars, the lyrics of this song is a vivid picture of love, loneliness and persistent hope. This is the exact vibe "You are my sunshine" gives.

The last time I recollect listening to this song, was a time I was really heartbroken but listening to this song, it was like an embrace. Checking it out, once again, on YouTube during the week, I saw similar stories of losses in the comments section. My heartbreak then paled in comparison to the tales of loss many people had and they all found comfort in this song.

it is a sweet/bittersweet declaration of pure and simple love, with a simple yet powerful metaphor at its core. For that reason, “You Are My Sunshine” — in addition to being a lament, a lullaby, and a sing-along — has also become something of a secular hymn. The love it professes isn’t necessarily earthly or romantic; it could be spiritual or heavenly.
