Mujer merideña [ESP/ENG]

     ¡Hola, querida comunidad de HIVE! Espero todos estén bien. Hoy les traigo Una hermosa canción llamada “Mujer Merideña” un vals de Pedro Castellanos. Quise mostrarles este tema por lo hermoso que es.

     Habla de una hermosa mujer y aunque en esta oportunidad es una versión instrumental intenté expresar con mis instrumentos todo el sentimiento que esta canción lleva consigo. Interpretaré el cuatro, el bajo y la mandolina, siendo esta última la protagonista del tema. Algunas veces este tema es encontrado con el nombre de “Preciosa merideña”.

     Dicen que la belleza es dependiente de los ojos del que mira y para mí es cierto, a veces de los oídos que escuchen. En la música la expresión es importante, de hecho demasiado, pero no es tan fácil de conseguir. No todos somos capaces de expresar sensaciones diferentes sólo tocando una nota o haciendo un pequeño silencio y es que ahí está la hermosura, en esas cosas pequeñas que se van haciendo grandes. A mí en un principio me costó bastante expresar con mi música, hacer que alguien sintiera lo que quería decir, sólo lo podía lograr con algunas piezas que ya conocía muy bien y que me hacían sentir algo imposible de ocultar, algo que podía transmitir porque así me sentía.

     Aprendiendo a expresar me percaté de que una canción la puedes interpretar cientos de veces y cada una de ellas debe ser diferente, porque decir las mismas palabras todo el tiempo, con el mismo tono de voz, con la misma intensidad, diciendo todo con la misma velocidad y exactitud no te lleva a ningún lado, se torna en aburrimiento. Debemos hacer que nuestra música sea todo lo contrario, aun teniendo las mismas notas podemos formar otro sentido y ese es el objetivo del músico, para eso existimos, para interpretar. Si no fuera así entonces sólo escucharíamos programas de computadora reproduciendo música sin importarnos nada más que las notas, sin poder llamar a eso “Música”.

      Hello, dear HIVE community! I hope you are all well. Today I bring you a beautiful song called "Mujer Merideña" a waltz by Pedro Castellanos. I wanted to show you this song because of how beautiful it is.

      It speaks of a beautiful woman and although this time it is an instrumental version I tried to express with my instruments all the feeling that this song carries with it. I will play the cuatro, the bass and the mandolin, the latter being the protagonist of the song. Sometimes this song is found under the name of "Preciosa merideña".

      They say that beauty is dependent on the eyes of the beholder and for me it is true, sometimes on the ears that listen. In music expression is important, in fact too much so, but it is not so easy to achieve. Not all of us are capable of expressing different sensations just by playing a note or making a small silence, and that is where the beauty lies, in those small things that become big. At the beginning it was quite difficult for me to express with my music, to make someone feel what I wanted to say, I could only achieve it with some pieces that I already knew very well and that made me feel something impossible to hide, something that I could transmit because that's how I felt.

      Learning to express I realised that you can interpret a song hundreds of times and each one of them must be different, because saying the same words all the time, with the same tone of voice, with the same intensity, saying everything with the same speed and accuracy doesn't take you anywhere, it becomes boring. We must make our music the opposite, even if we have the same notes we can form another meaning and that is the aim of the musician, that is what we exist for, to perform. If it were not like that then we would only listen to computer programs playing music without caring about anything else but the notes, without being able to call that "Music".
