Una Guará - José R. Salcedo. Guitar & mandolin Duo (Feat @guitarmcy)

     ¡Hola, maravillosa comunidad de HIVE! Hoy les traigo “Una Guará” de José R. Salcedo. En esta ocasión nuevamente con mi gran amigo @guitarmcy.

     Este merengue no lo conocía hasta el día que lo grabamos. Luis llegó a mi casa y me puso la partitura al frente y yo la leí, me gustó bastante como sonó así que después de unas vueltas lo grabamos.

     Grabar con Luis fue algo increíble, nos reímos, nos equivocamos y nos conectamos musicalmente. La música te da demasiadas cosas, como buenos amigos. Lamentablemente perdí uno de los videos que grabamos sólo quedando con el audio… pero pronto cuando volvamos reunirnos para grabar les traemos más de nuestro trabajo. Después de esta grabación el formato de guitarra y mandolina me parece increíble, siempre había sido acompañado por cuatristas y en ocasiones grabando yo mismo los cuatros pero nunca con una guitarra y menos que sonara como él.

     En esta grabación, hablando de todos los temas, pude experimentar a ciencia cierta qué es la musicalidad. Algo quizá difícil de describir, pero que para mí es la capacidad de poder sentir y expresar la música. Siempre habrán criterios diferentes de todo en la música, hay personas que discuten por cosas como que en un periodo no se expresaba de cierta forma, otras dirán que sí, etc. pero en la música popular hay más libertad. Yo soy mandolinista y desde pequeño he tocado música venezolana, últimamente estoy tocando música clásica para mejorar técnica y expresividad y la ventaja de esto último es que es aplicable para todo, sólo tienes que saber cómo enfocarlo y es algo que estoy intentando aprender. Algo que he intentado implementar en la música que tanto amo.

     Los merengues venezolanos son atractivos desde todos los puntos de vista, a veces los escuchamos y nos provoca bailar, nos da felicidad ese ritmo tan pegajoso. Espero disfruten este merengue llamado “Una Guará” acompañado por @guitarmcy.

      Hello, wonderful HIVE community! Today I bring you "Una Guará" by José R. Salcedo. This time again with my great friend @guitarmcy.

      I didn't know this merengue until the day we recorded it. Luis came to my house and put the score in front of me and I read it, I liked the way it sounded so after a few spins we recorded it.

      Recording with Luis was incredible, we laughed, we made mistakes and we connected musically. Music gives you so many things, like good friends. Unfortunately I lost one of the videos we recorded only keeping the audio... but soon when we get back together to record we will bring you more of our work. After this recording the guitar and mandolin format seems incredible to me, I had always been accompanied by cuatros and sometimes recording the cuatros myself but never with a guitar and even less that sounded like him.

      In this recording, talking about all the themes, I was able to experience for sure what musicality is. Something perhaps difficult to describe, but for me it is the ability to be able to feel and express music. There will always be different criteria for everything in music, there are people who argue about things like that in a certain period it was not expressed in a certain way, others will say yes, etc. but in popular music there is more freedom. I am a mandolin player and since I was a child I have played Venezuelan music, lately I am playing classical music to improve technique and expressiveness and the advantage of the latter is that it is applicable to everything, you just have to know how to approach it and it is something I am trying to learn. Something I have been trying to implement in the music I love so much.

      Venezuelan merengues are attractive from all points of view, sometimes we listen to them and it provokes us to dance, it gives us happiness that rhythm so catchy. I hope you enjoy this merengue called "Una Guará" accompanied by @guitarmcy.
