Lost Poems & Dreams of My Youth
To the lover of truth,
To the love that never was,
Sheena Nicole Safari
The felt experience of the connection
Of our kindred spirits,
was primal, mystical, eternal
I have seen the truth
Many times
But for the first time
someone saw the truth in me
Psychedelic sex
In the backseat of your wagon
Invoked visions of infinity
Our consciousness seamlessly
Dancing to the songs of eternity
To the heartbeat of the universe
But this is not why I’ve come
I have come to tell you
That I have come
On the way I noted
The women transfixed
By the light coming
From their centers
Their heads are bowed
They learned that if you
Tilt your head just so
You can look into eternal worlds
They have come to care for the night
Many of them are glowing
Brighter than the moon herself
Thank the heavens she is not
Jealous in her luminescence,
For I have seen many women
Glowing beyond the intensity of the moon
And thought that perhaps the night
Had mirrored itself in the wake
Of this glorious occasion our communion
Yes, I have come and
No can’t imagine myself married to
that pleasant prison dream
And it hurts even
more to write it
Than it does to be it
For I know, what
the written word can do
Let alone spoken
(And this is a spoken art)
