Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally act like them, scroll the same mindless feed as they do, send out an angry tweet, or maybe even wait in line at the same food truck sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the normies as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like “ You Guys, Have a nice day” and “Fucking Hot Today, right?!?!”, you yearn inside to say a secret insane thought like “Why does it seem like I access alternative lives in my dreams?” or “What do you think deja vu is for?”. Face it, you even want to talk to that person in the market that wearing a mask. But what if that person in the market (and the balding bus man) are thinking the same thing? Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on a conversation with a stranger? Everyone carries a piece of the mosaic. Nobody dances to songs of eternity by mere coincidence.
