Today I am going to share a vlog about most famous temple of LUCKNOW that is MAA CHANDRIKA DEVI MANDIR which is situated in KATHVARA VILLAGE near Lucknow city. It is around 30 KM far from the main city.

This temple is famous for its peaceful and nature friendly environment, the temple is surrounded by river Gomti which make this place so mindpleasing.

This temple is more than 350 years old it has religious relevance to RAMYANA time known as Dvapar yuga .

The MAA CHANDRIKA DEVI TEMPLE is also known as The MAHI SAGAR TEERTH.

The people buy this sweet called PEDA as PRASHAD for worshipping the God.

This is the beauty of the temple the GOMTI RIVER surrounded all the corners of the temple.

This temple is also mention in the Hinduism holy books named KARNA PURAN.

The Mythological Story Of the Temple

The story of this temple related to Ramayana. Rajkumar Chandraketu who was the elder son of Shri Lakshamana once had to passed through Gomti river with his ASHVAMEGHA HORSE but the day become darker and then he had stopped in a Forest and decided to take some rest in that forest which was situated at the bank of the river, The forest was so dense so there has the danger from wild animals. Then Rajkumar Chandraketu prayed Goddess for their protection and within a moment Goddess appear in front of him in moonlight.
and the temple was established there from the local people of that area.

My Opinion About This Place

This is really a very beautiful and peaceful place where you can easily connect your innerself with the God and also you feel very lightened.
I assure you if you want to get rid from the noise of the city and want some peaceful time then you will must come here.
There are also some local shops outside the temple where you can buy some traditional things like bangle, alarm, and cosmetics.
