Hello friends of the #openmic community, I'm @samuelstifen. Welcome back to everyone who has participated in this Open Mic Hive event. Hopefully our performance can provide warmth to everyone, including me. and also my audio recording is too noisy because I was accompanied by heavy rain today, and I am very grateful that the rain fell, because it is a blessing.

So the theme of the week 229 is "photographs"

a photo is the greatest memory, and also a photo has a great meaning, because in the photo there is a deep and very much meaning of life.

first, photos make moments that are captured, moments that we may find difficult to remember clearly as time goes by. Photos can take us back to the past, reminding us of beautiful, sad, or funny memories that we have experienced.

second, photos are also engraved stories Photos can tell a story, both personal stories and world stories. Photos can be evidence of history, culture, and social change.

and third Photos where we express ourselves can be a medium for us to express ourselves, our creativity, and our perspective on the world. Photography can be a meaningful art form.

and in week 229 I sang a cover of a song called Sephia from the band Sheila on 7. Sheila on 7 is a band from Indonesia with an alternative pop genre.

And the song tells the story of an affair that never ends. Tells the story of a woman named Sephia who is considered to be a secret lover and a snatcher of someone else's boyfriend.
and makes herself have to end up dying in the wrong way that she made herself.

and I once heard a story from this song, this song is written from the story of the guitarist of this band, this guitarist wrote this song for a fan named Sephia, that at that time the short story was that Sephia left a message and a photo of herself that looked happy from the outside and it turned out she was very depressed. and Sephia also told about her life which was not going well, and Sephia also hoped and asked the guitarist to make a song about her and release it, and not long from the message sent by Sephia, she finally ended her life by committing suicide. and this band also found out about Sephia's departure. and until now this song continues to be sung by the band Sheila on 7 at every concert they have. and in my opinion every song by Sephia is sung in order to continue to immortalize her fans named Sephia and hope that she is calm in her world now. and that's why I really like this band, because they really embrace their fans. hopefully the song I bring my friends enjoy it.

and maybe that's all I can say about the theme and explanation of the song that I sang this week, and thank you to Openmic and the organizing team of this event. who have spent a lot of their free time for this event. This week's event is extraordinary, that we can inspire our work with freedom in this theme. Hopefully this event runs smoothly and continues to be successful.
