Hive Open Mic Week 134 - Sekuat Hatimu (Cover) by Samuel and Frans

Hi, dear friends and family at Hive Open Mic Community. Introducing we self, my name is Samuel Stifen a guitarist, and my friend Frans as a vocalist. We are both an acoustic pop band called The People People. Needless to say, the weekly #openmic event has entered number 134. Every day we see great talented musicians here. This proves that the weekly Hive Open Mic is getting ahead.

So, this week's theme is “Perdon” which means Forgiveness. This theme was chosen by @yetxuni, a beautiful singer who has the most melodious voice. I love the way she sings while playing her acoustic guitar. From this week's theme, the two of us performed a cover song entitled “Sekuat Hatimu” from Last Child. The song was written by Virgoun, who was originally a vocalist for the band Last Child and is now a solo singer after getting married.

We both chose this song to perform this week because the lyrics of this song have a very touching meaning. This song tells of a child's apology to his mother. So the message conveyed from this song is, every child must love and respect his mother, if we as children ever make our mother sad, then immediately apologize to her. Even though we have annoyed our mothers or made our mothers angry, mothers will always wish the best for their children. A mother will never hate her children. So as children, we have to be able to take care of her feelings. So that our mothers never grieve.
