Hive Chess Meet Up- Onboarding New Chess Players On Hive

The video above shows a Hive meet up I had with my chess friends. Lot of bullet chess and banters.

We had @kintokris Also known as Jonbellionfan on #Hivechess present in the meetup. He has been actively playing chess but hasn't had time for blogging. He says he would start,hopefully sharing his knowledge. He is a computer programmer and also a graduate of English language.

New Onboarded Chess players.

I onboarded Fide Master Abimbola Osufunyi
who will be known on hive as @tigranspinoza and Destiny omaye who will be known as @wildthougts. Both players are very strong with the former a Nigeria representative in international competitions. @pamboy27 who plays #Hivechess was absent due to some unforeseen circumstances.
I made sure i explained Hive to them with more emphasis on the mistakes i have made,sharing my experiences.

Chess & Banter

In the video above, we had some fun bullet games demonstration, it began with.

It was bullet and both players were very fast. The fide master found a good plan and ended up with a very nice checkmate. I handed the visuals to @kintokris and sat to play!

I was very slow and found myself in a bad position, @tigranspinoza is very fast and deadly. He is 2500+ on lichess blitz! 🤨. Just as i was about to flag.. I found CHECKMATE AND WON

The last game in the video ended quick as Jonbellionfan is really slow. Wildthougts just played fast and won on time.

I'm eager to see how they perform in friday's #Hivechess tournament organized by @stayoutoftherz . I would keep guiding and explaining how the Blockchain works and hopefully they can share their passion and knowledge here too. Please follow them if you can, as they would be writing their introduction posts soon.
