We will need:

Beverage cans, measuring tape and ruler, marker and scotch tape, cutter and scissors, tweezers, wire and beads.

Vamos a necesitar:

Latas de bebidas, cinta métrica y regla, marcador y cinta adhesiva, cutter y tijeras, pinzas, alambre y cuentas.

We start by cutting out the top of 2 cans, so that they are identical.

Iniciamos recortando la parte superior de 2 latas, de modo que sean idénticas.

With the help of a ruler and a marker, we make lines of approximately 2 centimeters.

Con la ayuda de una regla y un marcador, hacemos líneas de 2 centímetros aproximadamente.

We cut the strips with the help of scissors.

Recortamos las tiras con la ayuda de una tijera.

We stretch the strips so that they are as follows.

Estiramos las tiras de modo que queden de la siguiente manera.

We perform the same procedure with the other can.

Realizamos el mismo procedimiento con la otra lata.

With the help of a pointed tool, we make a hole in the center of the base of the cans.

Con la ayuda de una herramienta puntiaguda, realizamos un agujero en el centro de la base de las latas.

Now we proceed to make a fold of 2 centimeters at the ends of the strips.

Ahora precedemos a hacer un doblez de 2 centímetros en las puntas de las tiras.

Finally, we fit the ends of the two opposing cans in the following way.

We proceed to attach the wire to the mill and secure the lower part with a bead or with a bend in the wire.

I had made another mill with a taller, slimmer can and the result was more aerodynamic.

Now I show you how to make simple but useful lanterns or candle holders. For this craft we need only one can.

Ahora les muestro como hacer unos sencillos pero útiles faroles o porta velas. Para esta manualidad necesitamos una sola lata.

First of all, we delimit the cutting area with the help of scotch tape.

Ante todo delimitamos el área de corte con la ayuda de cinta adhesiva.

Then we mark lines of 1 centimeter.

Luego pasamos a marcar líneas de 1 centímetro.

We are going to cut with the help of a cutter, guiding ourselves by the lines, up to where the scotch tape is.

Vamos a cortar con la ayuda de un cúter guiándonos por las líneas, hasta donde está la cinta adhesiva.

Press the can downward so that it flattens a little and takes the shape of a lantern.

Hacemos presión a la lata hacia abajo para que se achate un poco y tome la forma de farol.

We pull the strips with our fingers to achieve the desired shape.

Halamos las tiras con los dedos para lograr la forma deseada.

It is necessary to remove one of the strips to leave space to insert the candle.

Es necesario retirar una de las tiras para dejar espacio para introducir la vela.

And here is our lantern or candle holder with recycled cans and very few materials. You can paint and decorate it as you like.
