Hello, Hive Diy community! I hope you are doing great. This time I want to show you a second craft tutorial with recycled beverage cans. This is a candle holder and a flower ornament made with very few materials. Join me to see the step by step.

¡Hola, comunidad de Hive Diy! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. En esta oportunidad deseo mostrarles un segundo tutorial de manualidades con latas de bebidas recicladas. Se trata de un porta velas y un adorno de flores realizados con muy pocos materiales. Acompáñenme a ver el paso a paso.

Materials needs / Materiales necesarios:

Beverage cans, ruler and marker, box cutter and scissors, wire.

Latas de bebidas, regla y marcador, cúter y tijeras, alambre.

Let's start by making a mark about 7 cm from the base of the can.

Vamos a comenzar haciendo una marca a unos 7 cm de la base de la lata.

Cut with the help of a cutter so that there are 2 parts left.

Recortamos con la ayuda de un cúter de modo que queden 2 partes.

We make marks on the two parts of the can of about 1 cm and a half vertically.

Hacemos marcas en las dos partes de la lata de aproximadamente 1 cm y medio de forma vertical.

We cut the strips with the help of a scissors.

Recortamos las tiras con la ayuda de una tijera.

Stretch the strips so that they look like this.

Estiramos las tiras de modo que queden de la siguiente manera.

Now we are going to make a fold in each strip of the can and we pass it through the front of the next one. So on and so forth until we finish with all the strips.

Ahora vamos hacer un doblez en cada tira de la lata y la pasamos por la parte de adelante de la siguiente. Así sucesivamente hasta que terminemos con todas las tiras.

As we can see we have a nice metal container, almost ready to hold our candles.

Como podemos ver nos queda un bonito recipiente metálico, casi listo para sostener nuestras velas.

To make a top to the candle holder, we take the other part of the can and we make two folds to each strip in the following way.

Para hacerle un tope al porta velas, tomamos la otra parte de la lata y le hacemos dos dobleces a cada tira de la siguiente manera.

Once the top is ready, we place it over the previously made piece.

Un vez listo el tope lo colocamos sobre la pieza anteriormente realizada.

And this is how our candle holder with a recycled can looks like. You can paint the cans if you like.

This craft is not only beautiful but also very useful; there we can place candles to illuminate our spaces.

Y así queda nuestro porta velas con una lata reciclada. Ustedes pueden pintar las latas si es de su gusto.

Esta manualidad no solo es bonita sino también muy útil; allí podemos colocar velas o velones para iluminar nuestros espacios.

For the flower ornament we are going to delimit the cut area of a can.

Para el adorno de flores vamos a delimitar el área de corte de una lata.

With the help of a box cutter, we will remove the top and bottom of the can, and cut so that a rectangular sheet is left.

Con la ayuda de un cúter, vamos a retirar el tope y el fondo de la lata, y cortamos de modo que quede un pliego rectangular.

Then we are going to fold the sheet in half.

Luego vamos a doblar el pliego por la mitad.

We proceed to make cuts of about half a centimeter from the end of the fold of the can.

Procedemos a hacer cortes de medio cm aproximadamente desde el extremo del doblez de la lata.

Unfold the sheet and press with the help of the edge of a scissors to eliminate as much as possible the fold mark.

Desdoblamos el pliego y presionamos con la ayuda del canto de una tijera para eliminar tanto como sea posible la marca del doblez.

Fold it in half again and hold the first strip of the piece with the help of a pair of tweezers, turning it around until the flower is formed.

Volvemos a doblar por la mitad y vamos a sostener con la ayuda de una pinza la primera tira de la pieza dando vueltas hasta formar la flor.

We secure the base with the help of transparent adhesive tape.

Aseguramos la base con la ayuda de cinta adhesiva transparente.

And so are our flowers, we can make them with cans of different colors or use the silver part.

Y así quedan nuestras flores, podemos hacerlas con latas de diversos colores o utilizar la parte plateada.

To complement the ornament we are going to make some leaves, for which we can use a cardboard template and mark the shape.

Para complementar el adorno vamos a hacer unas hojas, para lo cual podemos usar una plantilla de cartulina y marcar la forma.

After cutting them out, we can make some slits in them to give them a better shape.

Luego de recortarlas quedan de esta manera, podemos hacerles unas hendiduras para que tomen mejor forma.

The only thing left to do is to place the wire stems. For this you can use silicone or transparent adhesive tape.

Solo resta colocarles los tallos de alambre. Para esto pueden usar silicón o cinta adhesiva transparente.

And that's how our flower and leaf ornament looks like, ideal for a table centerpiece. I placed them in a wide mouth bottle; you can place them in the vase of your choice.

Y así queda nuestro adorno de flores y hojas, ideales para un centro de mesa. Yo lo coloqué en una botella de boca ancha; ustedes pueden colocarlas en el florero de su preferencia.
