Happy and blessed week, Hive Open Mic community! It’s a pleasure for me to join the 134th week to share my music with all of you. Today's topic is Forgiveness and this is a very sensitive subject for human beings, with which we have to deal with on several occasions in life.

Today I want to present you an acoustic and electric guitar cover of Feint, a ballad by the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica, from the album The Phantom Agony, released in 2003.

Many times, when we speak of forgiveness, we immediately think of the action itself of forgiving or being forgiven, however, we don’t think of the circumstance that necessitated the need to forgive in the first place, i.e., the grievance itself. Sometimes the acts of others, transgress our feelings and flood our heart with resentment and these end up hurting us more than the initial offense, that is when we must reflect and let go of the bad and try to forgive or at least heal those wounds.

This song tells us that every time we are hurt or we hurt someone, a light goes out and our heart remains in darkness, quivering the foundations that supported that relationship, and if we don’t forgive we could continue in a vicious circle, prolonging the damage in future relationships.

La temática que nos ocupa en esta oportunidad es el Perdón y este es un tópico muy sensible para los seres humanos, con el que tenemos que lidiar en diversas ocasiones de la vida.

Hoy quiero presentarles un cover de guitarra acústica y eléctrica de Feint, una balada del grupo de metal sinfónico holandés Épica, perteneciente al álbum The Phantom Agony, lanzado en el año 2003.

Muchas veces, cuando hablamos del perdón, pensamos inmediatamente en la acción misma de perdonar o ser perdonados, sin embargo, no pensamos en la circunstancia que requirió la necesidad de perdonar en primer lugar, es decir, el agravio en sí mismo. En ocasiones loa actos de otros, trasgreden nuestros sentimientos y van inundando nuestro corazón de resentimientos y estos terminan haciéndonos más daño que la ofensa inicial, es allí cuando debemos reflexionar y dejar ir lo malo e intentar perdonar o al menos sanar esas heridas.

Esta canción nos habla de que, cada vez que nos hieren o herimos a alguien, una luz se va apagando y nuestro corazón queda en oscuridad, haciendo tambalear las bases que sostenían esa relación, y si no perdonamos podríamos continuar en un círculo vicioso, prologando el daño en futuras relaciones.
