Happy Monday, beautiful Hive Open Mic family! First of all I wish you a week full of harmony and peace. It’s a pleasure for me to share a new work with all of you, as well as to delight myself with the presentations of all the members of this musical community. The current theme is Musical Comedy, and I look forward to seeing what surprises this edition will bring.

Today I want to present you an instrumental cover. It’s I Walk Alone, promotional single from the debut album of the Finnish singer Tarja Turunen called My Winter Storm, released in 2007. Tarja was the lead vocalist of the symphonic metal band Nightwish and is considered a star in this musical field.

I placed the video of the song in the background of my performance on electric guitar and bass, so that you could also appreciate the events. The story is not necessarily comedic but quite theatrical. In it we can see two children who go into the depths of the forest, where after being separated by accident, they find a series of adventures and mysterious characters, until they finally meet again.

For this cover I used the app. Moises app to subtract the audio from the original guitar and bass, leaving only voice and drums, so I could integrate my instruments to accompany the track. The distortion of the electric guitar was achieved using a virtual amp from Guitar Rig (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm). The video was edited with the Movavi and Capcut apps. I hope you like it.

¡Feliz lunes, hermosa familia de Hive Open Mic! Ante todo les deseo una semana llena de armonía y paz. Es un placer para mí compartir un nuevo trabajo con todos ustedes, así como también deleitarme con las presentaciones de todos los miembros de esta comunidad musical. La temática actual es Comedia Musical, ya deseo ver qué sorpresas nos trae esta edición.

El día de hoy deseo presentares un cover instrumental. Se trata de I Walk Alone, single promocional del álbum debut de la cantante finlandesa Tarja Turunen llamado My Winter Storm, publicado en 2007. Tarja fue la primera vocalista de la banda de metal sinfónico Nightwish y es considerada una estrella en este ámbito musical.

Coloqué el video de la canción al fondo de mi performance en guitarra eléctrica y bajo, de modo de poder apreciar también las incidencias del mismo. La historia no es necesariamente de comedia pero sí bastante teatral. En él podemos ver a dos niños que se adentran en las profundidades del bosques, donde después de separarse por accidente, se encuentran una serie de aventuras y personajes misteriosos, hasta que finalmente se reencuentran.

Para este cover utilicé la app. Moises para sustraer el audio de la guitarra y el bajo original, dejando solo voz y batería, de manera de poder integrar mis instrumentos para acompañar la pista. La distorsión de la guitarra eléctrica fue lograda mediante un amplificador virtual del programa Guitar Rig (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm). El video fue editado con las app Movavi y Capcut. Espero que les guste.
