Hello, DIYHub friends! This time I want to share with you a simple but beautiful creation with recycled materials. It is an Antique Lantern. Let's see the materials and the step by step.

¡Hola, amigos de DIYHub! En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes una sencilla pero bonita creación con materiales reciclados. Se trata de una Lámpara Antigua. Veamos los materiales y el paso a paso.

We will need / Vamos a necesitar:

Mayonnaise jar / Frasco de mayonesa
Tuna can / Lata de Atún
Plastic lids of various sizes / Tapas plásticas de diversos tamaños
Piece of EVA foam / Trozo de foamy
Liquid silicone / Silicón líquido
Black paint and brush / Pintura Negra y pincel

We start by painting the plastic lids of different sizes in black. We will need to apply several coats of paint.

Iniciamos pintando las tapas plásticas de diferentes tamaños de color negro. Necesitaremos dar varias capas de pintura.

In the same way we will paint the recycled can black.

Del mismo modo vamos a pintar la lata reciclada de color negro.

To give a slight touch of shine to the pieces we will use a homemade varnish made with equal parts of liquid silicone and alcohol, mix it very well and let it rest until there are no bubbles in the varnish.

Para dar un leve toque de brillo a las piezas utilizaremos un barniz casero hecho con partes iguales de silicón líquido y alcohol, se mezcla muy bien y se deja reposar hasta que no haya burbujas en el barniz.

Now we are going to glue strips of black EVA foam along the mayonnaise jar, there can be 3 or 4 depending on your preference.

Ahora vamos a pegar tiras de foamy negro a lo largo del frasco de mayonesa, pueden ser 3 o 4 según su preferencia.

Once we have all the pieces we will assemble the lantern as follows: We place the can as a base, then we glue with silicone a lid that corresponds to the mayonnaise jar.

Una vez tengamos todas las piezas vamos a armar la lámpara de la siguiente manera: Colocamos la lata como base, luego pegamos con silicón una tapa que corresponda con el frasco de mayonesa.

Then we screw the jar upside down.

Acto seguido enroscamos el frasco boca abajo.

We proceed to glue the lids on top in order of size, first the largest, then the medium and finally the smallest.

Procedemos a pegar las tapas en la parte superior en orden de tamaño, primer la más grande, luego la mediana y finalmente la pequeña.

It only remains to place a candle, in this case artificial, and our lantern is ready.

Solo resta colocar una vela, en este caso artificial, y nuestra lámpara está lista.
