Greetings, Hive Open Mic family, in its 138th week! This time, the theme "Magic" brings us together. I think that the meaning of magic varies according to each person; there are things that may seem magical for some and not so much for others. Beyond a supernatural fact, the magic comes from enjoying and appreciating the things that fill us and that give meaning and joy to our life, that is, those special moments surrounded by the people we love the most or the fact of being able to do what we like the most.

Today I present a guitar cover of the song Ice Queen, by the Dutch symphonic rock band Within Temptation, from the album Mother Earth, released in 2000. Its lyrics are a metaphor about the arrival of winter and its inclemency.

The background music I used can be found on Youtube, and was edited with the App. Moises to suppress the guitars and keyboard, leaving voice, drums and bass, so that I could integrate my guitars to accompany the track. The distortion of the electric guitar was achieved using Guitar Rig presets. The video was edited with the Movavi and Capcut apps.

¡Saludos, familia de Hive Open Mic, en su semana 138! Esta vez, nos reúne la temática “Magia”. Pienso que la magia su significado varía según cada persona; hay cosas que pueden parecer mágicas para algunos y no tanto para otras. Más allá de una hecho sobrenatural, lo mágico viene de disfrutar y apreciar las cosas que nos llenan y que le dan sentido y alegría a nuestra vida, es decir, esos momentos especiales rodeados de las personas que más amamos o el hecho de poder hacer lo que más nos gusta.

Hoy les presento un cover en guitarras de la canción Ice Queen, de la banda de rock sinfónico holandesa Within Temptation, perteneciente al álbum Mother Earth, lanzado en el año 2000. Su letra es una metáfora sobre la llegada del invierno y su inclemencia.

El fondo musical que utilicé se puede encontrar en Youtube, y fue editado con la App. Moises para suprimir las guitarras y el teclado, dejando voz, batería y bajo, de modo de poder integrar mis guitarras para acompañar la pista. La distorsión de la guitarra eléctrica fue lograda mediante presets del programa Guitar Rig. El video fue editado con las app Movavi y Capcut.
