Hello, friends of the Family and Friends community! It is an honor for me to post for the first time in this community. I was waiting for a significant family event for me to do so. The occasion of which I speak to you is the 72nd birthday of my mom, a noble human being with a charisma and joyful spirit who has always put her family above all else.

¡Hola, amigos de la comunidad Family and Friends! Es un honor para mí publicar por primera vez en esta comunidad, y es que estaba esperando un evento familiar significativo para mí para poder hacerlo. La ocasión de la cual les hablo es el cumpleaños número 72 de mi mamá, un ser humano noble con un carisma y espíritu alegre que siempre ha puesto su familia por encima de todo.

For this occasion, I specifically asked her what she wanted to do on her special day, to which she replied that she wanted to have a get-together at home and eat grilled meat and some beers to cool down, especially in this very hot season.

Para esta ocasión, le pregunté expresamente qué quería hacer en su día especial, a lo que ella respondió que quería una reunión en casa y comer carne a la parrilla y algunas cervezas para refrescarse, especialmente en esta época de mucho calor.

In the morning hours, I prepared a marbled cake with chocolate inside, topped with milk caramel and colorful chocolate candies.

En horas de la mañana, preparé una torta marmoleada con chocolate en su interior, con un tope de arequipe y caramelos de chocolate de colores.

It was time for lunch. Once the contours and the accompanying sauce were prepared, we got ready to put the meat on the grill; the truth is that this type of cooking over the coals gives a unique touch and flavor to the food that my mom really appreciates.

Llegó la hora de almorzar. Una vez preparados los contornos y la salsa de acompañamiento, nos dispusimos a colocar la carne a la parrilla; la verdad es que este tipo de cocción a las brasas le da un toque y sabor único a las comidas que mi mamá aprecia mucho.

The previous days she had received a package in the mail from my brother, his oldest son, and it was a smart phone, which is an important and useful item when communicating with my 3 siblings who live far away. This was the birthday gift from him. Actually, all her children sent her a present.

Los días previos ella había recibido un paquete por correo de parte de mi hermano, su hijo mayor, y se trataba de un teléfono inteligente, que es un elemento importante y útil a la hora de comunicarse con mis 3 hermanos que viven lejos. Este fue el regalo de cumpleaños de parte de él. En realidad, todos sus hijos le hicimos llegar algún presente.

This day we had a great time at home and above all I shared quality moments with the one I love the most in life. I hope that these moments will be repeated, because not only can we have special moments on commemorative dates, in fact any day is a good day to honor and please the people we love.

Este día la pasamos muy bien en casa y sobre todo compartí momentos de calidad con el ser más amo en la vida. Espero que estos momentos se repitan, pues no solo se puede tener momentos especiales en fechas conmemorativas, en realidad cualquier día es bueno para homenajear y complacer a las personas que amamos.
